A little market town called Whitland is located on the River Tâf, 15 miles from Carmarthen. Aside from the Hywel Dda Gardens and Interpretive Centre, which has 6 wonderful gardens to visit, the small centre also contains a variety of tiny stores, pubs, a train station, and eating establishments. A trip to the nearby picturesque town of Narberth, with its bright Georgian homes, plethora of stores, bars, bistros, and restaurants, won’t let you down. More stores, eateries, tea houses, a movie theater, a charming steam train ride, and the enigmatic Merlin’s Centre may all be found in Carmarthen. The Preseli Hills nearby and the renowned Pembrokeshire Coast Path nearby provide plenty of options for walkers in your group. While Heatherton Park, the fantastic Welsh Zoo as shown on TV, Folly Farm, and many other attractions are ideal for family fun days out, the sandy beaches of Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire beckon for relaxing days in summer and brisk hikes in winter. One trip to this fantastic destination might not be enough because there is so much to see and do.
