Set on the side of a hill in the quiet North Wales countryside, the tiny village of Gwaenysgor is situated within the Clwydian Hill Range, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The summit is a mere quarter of a mile away and provides a wonderful panoramic view over the countryside and coast. With a very good pub, the village is well placed for joining the Offa’s Dyke National Trail, which lies within a few minutes walk. The beaches at Prestatyn offer a safe spot for family fun on the sand as well as those looking for a place to try various water sports. There are also a number of lovely walks through the pretty countryside as well as four excellent golf courses, a leisure centre, the Mountain Zoo at Colwyn Bay and the Victorian resort of Llandudno – all waiting to be explored.
