This historic settlement, which goes back to the eighth century and is located in the stunning Vale of Clwyd, is well-known for the spectacular Edward I.-built moated castle ruins that still stand today. The community has excellent bars, numerous golf courses nearby, and salmon and trout fishing on some of the river. This region is well-known for its beautiful treks along the Offa’s Dyke trail or the Clwydian Hill range. The National Art Gallery of Wales, as well as Bodelwyddan Castle, which hosts frequent country fairs and vintage car displays, are all nearby. Visit the adjacent North Wales beaches, stroll down the famed promenade in Victorian Llandudno, or explore Conwy Castle, Bodnant Gardens, or the charming Betws-y-Coed, the entrance to Snowdonia.
