Lelant is a pretty village in the west of Cornwall, approximately 1.5 miles from Carbis Bay. The South West Coast Path travels through Lelant, along the estuary and past Porth Kidney Sands. Porth Kidney Sands is Lelant’s stunning dog friendly beach, complete with several caves, a wonderfully quiet beach to explore. The beach provides great views to St. Ives and Carbis Bay in one direction and Godrevy lighthouse in the other direction. Lelant is a request stop on the beautifully scenic St Ives Bay line that runs to/from nearby St Erth. The village is also the location of the West Cornwall Golf Club, which is the oldest golf club in Cornwall. Lelant has a variety of local shops and couple of village pubs, or you could travel 2.5 miles to the popular seaside town of St Ives for a busier more thriving tourist experience.
