The town of Keswick in the north of the Lake District boasts a variety of shops and restaurants, as well as excellent parks, miniature golf and the famous Theatre by the Lake. The beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the Borrowdale Valley is only a short walk from the town centre. There is great walking available for all abilities, including gentle countryside strolls or more adventurous walks up Skiddaw, Cat Bells, Maiden Moor, Grisdale Pike and Causey Pike. Castlerigg Stone Circle, Jennings Brewery and Trotters’ World of Animals are also within easy reach.
