On the East Coast of Yorkshire, about four miles from Bridlington, the charming village of Flamborough sits nestled on a gorgeous peninsula.
Traditional fishermen’s cottages and a few pubs and restaurants make Flamborough a popular destination for walkers, history buffs, and birdwatchers. Two historic lighthouses stand on the Flamborough Head cliffs, with one of them being the UK’s oldest established in 1674. The cliffs comprise an eight-mile section of Heritage coastline. As you head north of the settlement, you’ll come across some of England’s most spectacular 400-foot cliffs, which are home to an enormous seabird colony.
