Rustington is a thriving coastal village set between Worthing and Bognor Regis, with a good range of shops, both small independent retailers and national names, as well as a number of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Arundel is also home to a cathedral, independent shops, art galleries, cafes and restaurants, river walks and the Wetland Centre home to vividly coloured kingfishers – a must for all keen bird watchers. The annual Arundel Festival each summer has a great variety of activities, concerts and events. The cathedral city of Chichester is 17 miles from Rustington and its centre offers a mix of high street shopping and designer boutiques. Chichester Festival Theatre has an international reputation.Other nearby attractions include the South Downs National Park which offers beautiful walks of varying lengths, wonderful villages and historic pubs; the racecourses at Fontwell and Goodwood and Brighton (half an hour by train) which has something for everyone. Portsmouth can be reached in about an hour by car and the Historic Dockyard, with the Mary Rose and HMS Victory, makes a good day out.
