Watten is a small hamlet in Caithness, Scotland, in the far north of the country. It is an area of wide open spaces with small single track roads connecting villages. Watten is located between the bustling towns of Thurso and Wick and is well-known for its large loch, which is teeming with brown trout. During the fishing season, permits can be obtained locally. The small village has a busy local pub/restaurant called ‘The Brown Trout,’ as well as a Post Office.
