Lincolnshire is home to the quaint coastal village of Mablethorpe. You can take in the sea air while strolling along the town’s sandy beach and dune system. There are a few chain stores and a wide variety of locally owned boutiques, cafes, and restaurants in Mablethorpe. In town, you can visit the Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary and hang out with seals and other tame creatures. Skegness, an old-school coastal resort just a few miles down the coast, is home to many kid- and family-friendly activities. Instead, you could travel inland to the town of Louth, which is home to Georgian streets lined with Grade II listed buildings, St. James Church, a theatre, an art deco cinema, a museum, a golf course, a modern leisure centre complex, excellent shopping (including market days every week), and a wide variety of eateries to suit any palate. An ideal location from which to explore the scenic countryside and coastline of Lincolnshire.
