A small town packed with history and culture, Dunnington’s surrounding fields became the country’s major area for growing chicory used in a variety of foods and drinks such as salads and coffee. Dunnington was the small town winner for settlements with a population under 3,000 in the 2014 Britain in Bloom competition. The town offers various shops and pubs, as well as more original things such as the Fabric Gallery and a library. York, one of England’s most beautiful city’s sits just 5 miles away, a city which has so much to offer. An upper-class city with an abundance of stunning buildings as well as some amazing history.
