Keith, a small market town in Scotland’s north east, is located roughly midway between Aberdeen and Inverness. The friendly town has its own 18-hole golf course and three tennis courts, as well as a selection of retailers, motels, and restaurants. Keith is home to the original Kilt School of Scotland, the only one of its kind in the world where traditional kilt production processes may still be seen today. The ruins of Balvenie Castle near Dufftown are well worth a visit because the castle has hosted guests such as Mary Queen of Scots and Edward 1.
