The closest bar and the harbour edge of Bosham Channel, where you can join the coastal path and walk around Chidham peninsula while taking in breathtaking views of the Bosham and Thorney channels, are both only a short stroll away.
Bosham, a charming harbour community nearby, has a historic church, a sailing club, craft shops, and a charming quayside. Emsworth, a charming tiny port town, situated to the west. Local shops, cafés, and taverns descend to the quay and sailing club. You’ll drive through the community of Southbourne en route to Emsworth, which is home to a well-known farm shop where you can stock up on supplies and sample some locally based cuisine.
The Cathedral City of Chichester, where you can find the Festival Theatre as well as cafés, restaurants, and a tonne of shopping, is just a short drive from the Roman Villa in Fishbourne. The well-known church, Pallant House Art Gallery, and The Novium museum—built over the remnants of a Roman bathhouse—are further attractions for culture seekers.
Beautiful beaches and coastal attractions are nearby in Wittering, Bracklesham, and Hayling Island, which are all accessible via beautiful drive. The busy seaside resort of Brighton is to the east, while farther away are the historic cities of Portsmouth and Southsea, each with their own local attractions.
The Goodwood Estate, Racecourse and Motor Circuit are all conveniently located nearby. The historic Spitfires that you might see flying over the harbour in the summer are based at Goodwood Aerodrome, and its Aerodrome Café is a terrific place to watch arrivals and departures on the airfield.
