The market town of Bridgnorth lies in two very distinct halves – the High Town and the Low Town – separated by the red sandstone ridge on which the town is built. Flowing below is the River Severn, providing many pleasant riverside walks. The Severn Valley Railway runs between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster, and runs a variety of steam and diesel engines through picturesque country stations.
