Cumbria’s quiet, rural village of Cleator lies between Cleator Moor and Egremont, just outside the Lake District National Park. Longlands Lake, a wildlife sanctuary and a great place to see wildflowers and birds, can be found in the vicinity of the village. Brook Inn is the only restaurant in the village, serving up hearty, locally sourced fare with a side of beer, and the village also has a local shop, where visitors can stock up on supplies for their holiday. Visitors to St Bees can relax on the beach or take part in the Coast to Coast Walk along the St Bees Head Heritage Coast, which is just a short drive from Cleator.
