Known as the ‘centre of walking’, the town of Kington, near the Welsh borders has many shops, pubs and restaurants. The area has many walking routes, plus the attractions nearby include Eastnor Castle, Hergest Croft Gardens, the Offa’s Dyke Path and the Mortimer Trail. Further afield with its many books and antique shops is Hay-on-Wye and the cathedral city of Hereford is also worth visiting.
