Keadue in County Roscommon is a small pretty village with a shop and pub. It has an attractive church, an historic gateway and bridge, and is home to St Lasair’s Holy Well, still a place of pilgrimage at the end of every August. The ruins of Kilronan Abbey are close by, as are the spa facilities at Kilronan Castle. The area is packed with loughs big and small, offering angling, water sports, riding, and of course plenty of lovely walks. There are many small towns and villages within easy reach of Keadue, such as Carrick-on-Shannon, Drumshanbo or even lively Sligo Town.
