Heysham is a charming coastal village located not far from the cities of Lancaster and Morecambe. This community, which has a variety of stores, bars, cafés, and small businesses, is surrounded by woodland, open grassland, and sandy beaches and offers something to please all tourists. Spend some time at the Heysham Heritage Centre to brush up on local history, or take a ferry to the Isle of Man if you’re feeling particularly daring. The larger town of Morecambe, where you’ll find additional services and attractions including the Eric Morecambe Statue and The Stone Jetty, is within striking distance. A little further away lies the city of Lancaster, which has four museums, a mediaeval castle, and Williamson Park, where free summer concerts are frequently held.
