Enjoy climbing, walking and mountain biking, with one of the main routes for ascending Snowdon, via the famous Watkin Path, starting in the valley. Nearby is Beddgelert, regarded as one of the most attractive villages in the United Kingdom and named after the famous legend of Gelert the dog. This lovely riverside village boasts quality pubs and eating houses as well as excellent outdoor pursuit centres, offering a variety of activities. Close by are wonderful beaches, castles, National Trust properties, slate caverns, mountain railways and the Portmeirion Italianate Village.
