Denbigh is a busy town bursting with history. It has a variety of shops and pubs, and a number of events including walking festivals, beer festivals, the Denbigh and Flint Annual Show, the Denbigh Plum Festival, and a monthly People’s market. The town dates back to the 11th century and boasts the remains of a 13th century castle, perched on a steep hill above the town and commanding some superb views over the surrounding countryside. Nearby are attractions such as St Asaph Cathedral, Bodelwyddan Castle and seaside resorts like Prestatyn and Llandudno, as well as historical cities such as Chester.
