Cononley is a small village resting in Airedale, four miles south of Skipton. The village holds a 17th Century heritage and a number of reminders of its heyday as a 19th Century centre for hand loom weaving and lead mining. Within the village, you will find two pubs and a mainline railway station with links to Leeds, Skipton and the famous Settle to Carlisle Railway line. The nearby town of Skipton has a larger selection of amenities and acts at the “The Gateway to the Dales” and has an ancient castle, a beautiful old parish church and a colourful market.
