2.4 miles away from one of Pembrokeshire’s most gorgeous communities, Cresswell Quay, is the rural community of Kilgetty. It’s a charming hamlet of scattered houses on the edge of the estuary.
Old quay where boats can still be moored when the tide allows is the main attraction, and the Cresselly Arms is a good place to stop for refreshments. Located just outside Tenby, the town has a variety of stores and restaurants, as well as its own train station. Nearby attractions include Saundersfoot and Tenby, both of which have fantastic beaches, watersports, as well as boat cruises to the island monastery on Caldey Island, where a small group of monks live and work. Folly Farm, an award-winning working farm, is also close by and a terrific place to spend a day with the family. Only a 10-minute drive away is Oakwood Theme Park, home to Europe’s largest wooden rollercoaster. The stunning Pembrokeshire Coast and the coastal National Park, a walker’s paradise, are also easily accessible.
