The small, bustling coastal village of Marske-by-the-Sea was originally a fishing village and now offers shops, pubs, a long, wide sandy beaches, dunes and a harbour. Maritime attractions in the area are plentiful, such as the birthplace of Captain Cook and the Zetland Lifeboat Museum.
