Skellingthorpe is a village and civil parish approximately four miles west of the city of Lincoln, with two pubs, a shop and a Post Office. The village was formerly home to RAF Skellingthorpe, known as ‘Skelly’ to the RAF personnel serving there, and was the host to one of many bomber airfields around the city of Lincoln. The village has ancient woodland to explore on foot, bicycle or horseback, with a variety of ancient oak, lime and conifers.
