The harbour village of Abersoch is on the Llyn Peninsula in a region known for its scenery and walking. The village, between two bays, is a popular sailing venue, with regattas held in the summer. Shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés are all available. Pwllheli is a popular market town close by and worth the six-mile trip. Head inland to find Criccieth and its castle, as well as the Snowdonia National Park.
