Rooks Bridge is a quaint little village, found in the town of Axbridge in Somerset. Located in close proximity to the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty, rumoured to have historically been dominated by the Romans where they mined lead, it’s a fabulous location for avid walkers or those looking to explore the plentiful nature of Somerset. Be sure to take a trip to Cheddar if it’s nature you’re after, with plentiful nature reserves and its limestone gorge, with Britain’s oldest complete human skeleton, it offers in terms of history and excitement for those of all ages. Although the village is quiet and quaint, with The Wellington Arms being the only local pub, that’s not to say that it doesn’t have a lot to offer.
