About 4 miles separate this peaceful community from the spectacular Pistyll Rhaeadr, one of Wales’ Seven Wonders, which is located in the lovely Tanat Valley at the base of the Berwyn Mountains (240 ft high waterfall). Two general stores, a newsagent, a post office, a butcher, two pubs, a hotel, a café, and a fish and chip restaurant are all present in the village. It is surrounded by gorgeous landscape, which offers walking paths for people of all fitness levels, such as Berwyn Ridge Walk and a trail to the waterfall’s crest. The picturesque Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, Powys Castle and Gardens, historic Shrewsbury and Chester, and the magnificent Snowdonia National Park are all worth exploring.
