The village of Chirbury is home to a village hall, a large public house called The Herbert Arms, and a post office, which is also the village shop. Montgomery is a short drive away and is popular with tourists. The town has a selection of individual shops and a variety of pubs and restaurants, including the Michelin star restaurant. A few miles to the south is the historic market town of Bishop’s Castle for its pubs, live music and festivals throughout the year.
