Llangynog is a small village, resting at the foot of the Berwyn Mountains and surrounding wooded hills and valleys. Within the village, you will find two pubs serving food and it is a renowned location for climbing, birdwatching, walking and cycling. Lake Bala is nearby, offering opportunities for fishing and a variety of water sports including white water rafting, Bala also offers a lakeside steam railway. Llanrhaeadr Waterfall, the tallest single drop waterfall in England and Wales is also nearby, as well as Lake Vyrnwy, which has an RSPB centre, bike hire and a sculpture park.
