The delightful town of Bellingham, affectionately known as the ‘capital’ of the North Tyne Valley by locals, is home to natural stone houses and rests close to the banks of the River North Tyne. This charming market town is believed to have been set on a Roman station and now offers a wealth of history and culture. The town hosts a 12th century church, a heritage centre and a tremendous 30ft waterfall. Nearby is the wonderful Northumberland National Park, and just a short car journey will take you to Hadrian’s Wall and Kielder Water and Forest.
