Marske-by-the-Sea is a small, coastal village with long, wide, sandy beaches. Originally an old fishing village, it now has a selection of local shops and pubs, which cater for all the family, plus the safe, sandy beaches, sand dunes and fishing boats. Places of interest nearby include Captain Cook’s birthplace, the mining museum, and the Zetland Lifeboat Museum. The old Victorian spa town of Saltburn is just three miles away and it’s an easy drive to other seaside resorts such as Whitby.
