St Ann’s Chapel is a small hamlet situated in the South Hams area of Devon, England, between the towns of Modbury and Kingsbridge. Within this small hamlet, you will find a good local shop and The Pickwick Inn, a charming pub serving food. Less than three miles away is Bigbury on Sea a village with a large sandy beach (surf school, cafe) and stretching to Burgh Island (famous art deco hotel, setting for Agatha Christie novels). Good golf course at Bigbury. The South West Coast Path is worth exploring as is the real ale pub in the nearby coastal village of Ringmore. A little further afield the traditional market town of Kingsbridge sits at the head of the many creeked Kingsbridge Estuary (boat trips), and plays host to a number of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, art galleries and antique shops. Further afield sensational Salcombe at the mouth of the Kingsbridge estuary with its many cove beaches and boutique shops is worth a visit. St Ann’s Chapel is a picturesque hamlet, and a perfect base for exploring this diverse and interesting area.
