Key features & notes

Lucarne is a modernised 2-bedroom bungalow in the popular seaside village of Aberporth, Ceredigion. With spectacular views of Cardigan Bay and within 5 minutes’ walk of 2 beautiful sandy beaches it is a great base for a family seaside holiday.

The single-storey accommodation has a comfortable open-plan living/dining area, and the conservatory is a great place to relax and enjoy the views over Cardigan Bay. From the enclosed garden, you can see for miles along the coast towards Llangrannog and, on clear days, to North Wales.

Lucarne is on a quiet road close to Aberporth village amenities, including a shop, pub, cafés, takeaways, post office, and chemist. The two beaches are safe and popular for swimming, water sports, and rock pooling at low tide.

Ceredigion Coast Path, easily accessed from the bungalow, has wonderful scenery, hidden coves, quaint seaside villages, and abundant wildlife to enjoy, including the resident bottlenose dolphins, which can often be spotted close to shore. An easy access path leads directly from Aberporth with places to stop and sit to take in the view over Cardigan Bay. Tresaith beach is to the north, and further along, there is a long sandy beach at Penbryn and the popular village and beach at Llangrannog.

New Quay, a short drive away, offers dolphin spotting boat trips and water sports, and the Georgian town of Aberaeron further north has a pretty harbour, colourful houses, and plenty of places to eat out. The restored castle and grounds in Cardigan are just 7 miles away, and this bustling market town has independent shops, galleries, and cafés. For keen walkers, the Preseli Hills are within easy reach and the Cambrian Mountains in Ceredigion are known for unspoiled landscapes, lakes, and wildlife.
