The attractive market town of Marlborough boasts a multitude of thatched cottages, multiple shops, eateries and pubs, and a twice-weekly market, making it the ideal place to visit whilst exploring Wiltshire. Also, home to the Merchant’s House, a charming 17th century dwelling adorning a wealth of period features, the town is steep in history; those interested in history will also enjoy visiting St Peter’s Church, complete with an arts centre and café. There are also some excellent walking and cycling trails in the area, including Savernake Forest, resting within the North Wessex Downs AONB, whilst those interested in Jazz music will enjoy visiting the annual International Jazz Festival, organised over a weekend each July.
