Colsterworth is a charming village located in Lincolnshire, England, situated in the South Kesteven district. It dates back to the Roman era, with evidence of a smelting furnace and a small defended Iron Age settlement found during the 1930s and 1940s. During the 19th century, the village had ten public houses, which eventually became disused – though pubs and restaurants are still available in the area. Local amenities include a village store, post office, butcher and fishmonger. There is a youth centre which also acts as a nursery with three playgrounds for your little ones to enjoy. For older children, they can enjoy a sports and social club during their stay. Among some of the historic sights, are a range of limestone built houses dating back to the 1920s, which make for a wonderful piece of history. Colsterworth is within driving distance of many neighouring towns and villages which also offer plenty of attractions for you to get involved in.
