The tiny hamlet of Nant Gwynant is situated in the Nant Gwynant Valley, surrounded by some of the most dramatic and beautiful scenery in the whole of the Snowdonia National Park. Nearby is Beddgelert, regarded as one of the most attractive villages in the United Kingdom and named after the famous legend of Gelert the dog. This lovely riverside village boasts quality pubs and eating houses as well as excellent outdoor pursuit centres, offering a variety of activities. Close by are wonderful beaches, castles, National Trust properties, slate caverns, mountain railways and the Portmeirion Italianate Village.
