A traditional, historical village set in the heart of Norfolk in East Anglia. Swanton Morley is rich with history, it was home to the ancestors of the 16th U.S President Abraham Lincoln, one of which built the building which now stands as the Angel pub, who is now buried in Norfolk. The beautiful village was also heavily involved in the Second World War, being the place where the first combined bombing raid was launched between Britain and America in 1942. In 2010, Swanton Morley was voted the Calor Eastern England Village of the Year and the Norfolk Community of the Year. Other than history and culture, the village offers fantastic walking facilities, fishing along the River Wensum, a traditional butchers, a deli, convenience store and 2 village pubs. A stunning little village set in the incredible Norfolk area.
