Westbury is a village and parish in Shropshire, England. It includes the settlements of Caus Forest, Lake, Marche, Newtown, Stoney Stretton, Vennington, Wallop, Westbury, Whitton, Winsley and Yockleton. It lies 8 miles west of the town of Shrewsbury, very close to the Wales-England border. Shrewsbury – Shropshire’s county town, founded by the Saxons and most extensively developed by Tudors, lies within a giant loop of the river Severn and is famed for its castle, spires, abbey, parklands and half-timbered medieval houses. Just outside of these, you can visit Attingham Park and Wroxeter Roman City, with the ruins of the fourth largest city in Roman Britain.
