Situated at the southern end of the Cotswolds, in rural Wiltshire, close to Gloucestershire. The town was granted Royal patronage in 2011. It has a weekly market as well as shops and inns, providing a touring base from which to explore Wiltshire. The town is close to Lydiard Park, Bowood and Longleat, with Avebury and Stonehenge nearby. The coastal resorts of Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea are just over an hour’s drive. Visit Malmesbury and the Cotswold Water Park and with the historic cities of Bath, Oxford and Salisbury all easily accessible, this area really makes an interesting touring centre at any time of the year.
