Halstead is an old-fashioned market town located in Essex’s Braintree District. The town’s centre is cut through by the River Colne, which offers lovely riverside strolls. Independent boutique stores, family butchers and bakers, cafés, restaurants, a multitude of floral attractions, structures constructed by the Courtauld family, and two lovely churches are just a few of the amenities available to guests. The town is especially well-liked by florists. Halstead in Bloom, which was founded in 2000 and has won the GOLD award every year since 2009, was also chosen by RHS Britain in Bloom as the Best Town in Anglia in Bloom five times. While Colchester, an old Essex town with a wide range of attractions including the family favourites Colchester Zoo and Colchester Castle, is a little further away, it offers a popular shopping destination.
