The Stiperstones Hill range is dominated by dramatic quartzite tors, which tower above an unspoilt heathland, the most famous is the Devil’s Chair, whilst Manstone Rock is the highest point at 536m above sea level and offers stunning views on a clear day. A short drive away is one of England’s finest heritage towns with over 600 listed buildings; Shrewsbury nestles on a loop of the River Severn. Shrewsbury has a magnificent abbey as well as Shrewsbury Castle, which stands in beautiful gardens and is home to the Shropshire Regimental Museum.
