In the extreme west of Derbyshire, surrounded by some of the most magnificent scenery in the Peak District is the bustling former Mill town of Glossop. Ideally placed for making the most of the nearby Peak District National Park, or the spa town of Buxton, this lovely settlement has plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. The peaceful village of Hayfield is also close by and is popular amongst walkers attracted to the area by its close proximity to Kinder Scout. Edale is only a few miles away and is set at the beginning of the Pennine Way and offers pubs, cafes and restaurants, giving visitors plenty to see and do in this area.
