Between the cities of Norwich and Diss, there is a town and civil parish called Long Stratton. Stratton St. Mary, the larger of the two smaller settlements that used to make up the town, is located to the south, and Stratton St. Michael, to the north. A village hall, two Church of England churches, and a Methodist church are all located in Long Stratton. There are also several taverns, bars, and restaurants in the community. The surrounding city of Norwich, which is home to the impressive Norwich Castle and the majestic Norwich Cathedral, offers additional conveniences and attractions. The seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, which is accessible by vehicle, has a lovely aquarium at SEA LIFE Great Yarmouth as well as a lush and golden sandy beach. A Pleasure Beach is available for younger visitors and adrenaline seekers, and farther inland is where you’ll find the beautiful Banham Zoo.
