Within a very small area of Chester you will find old walls and amphitheater of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed town houses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city boasts excellent shopping in and around the famous Tudor ‘Rows’, the Roman Walls, the picturesque Grosvenor Park, medieval cathedral, a racecourse and famous zoo.
