Brixham is a bustling fishing port on Torbay’s southern coast, in the English Riviera region, which is known for its mild, sunny weather throughout the year. The Golden Hind, Sir Francis Drake’s ship, is the centrepiece of the harbour. Most of Brixham’s activity revolves around the harbour, which is located in a picturesque area with small cottages tucked away in narrow, winding lanes. Brixham fish market is one of the largest in the UK, selling to some of the country’s best-known restaurants. Brixham is a great place for a traditional family vacation, with two Blue Flag beaches, Paignton Zoo, and numerous regattas and maritime events throughout the year. The South West Coastal Path and some of the best golf courses in the region can be found in the area.
It’s a great place for all ages, with a variety of activities to choose from, all within a short distance of the ocean.
