The Lake District National Park’s Lindale, a little community in the south of the park that is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is only a few miles from Lake Windermere, is ideal for vacationers. This charming village, which is surrounded by the allure of The Southern Lakes, and has a convenient gastropub, The Royal Oak, makes an excellent location from which to enjoy the entirety of this magnificent region. Cartmel, a charming village to roam around and famous for its delectable sticky toffee pudding, 12th-century priory, National Hunt horse meetings, and upscale restaurants, is only a short drive away. Another option is to travel to the picturesque seaside Edwardian town of Grange-over-Sands. Go along the seafront, then make your way back through the charming, winding lanes that are home to some excellent tea places and specialty stores including a bakery, chocolatiers, and award-winning butchers.
