Beadnell Bay began as a small Saxon settlement and is now a thriving fishing community, popular amongst tourists and holidaymakers from all over the country. Nearby is the popular village of Seahouses, which offers local amenities such as a supermarket, shops and restaurants, as well as beautiful sandy beaches. The magnificent Farne Islands can be reached by boat from the harbour and are popular with birdwatchers throughout the year. For those interested in history, the market town of Alnwick is only a short drive away and visitors can see the spectacular Castle and Gardens.
