The pretty harbour village of Beadnell is located next to Beadnell Bay – one of the most stunning stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline. Beadnell was established in Saxon times, and was once an important fishing village and smugglers haven. Today holidaymakers flock to the village for its lovely harbour and the sandy beaches close by. There is a shop and two pubs that serve food conveniently located in this charming seaside location. Just over a mile away is Seahouses with its wider choice of restaurants and shops including a supermarket, and boat trips that run from the harbour to the spectacular birdlife haven of the Farne Islands. Bamburgh and the market town of Alnwick with its impressive castle and gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is an easy drive away.
