Barford is a village and civil parish resting in the Warwick district of Warwickshire, England; situated about three miles south of Warwick. In March 2014 “The Sunday Times” listed the village as one of the Top 10 places to live in The Midlands. Within the village you will find two pubs, a hotel with swimming pool, and a village shop owned/run by the community. The Church of England primary school sits within the village, named “Barford St. Peters”. The University of Warwick Boat Club trains on the River Avon at Barford. Three miles is Warwick, which contains some fine houses, and is home to a postal telegraph office under Warwick. The parish comprises Barford House, Barford Hall, and Watchbury House. Today, Barford is still surrounded by many of the original buildings, which hosted the essential trades and services that were common place in the Georgian and Victorian times.
