Set between the Hope Valley and Bradwell Dale, the village of Bradwell is located within the Peak National Park. Bagshawe Cavern – reached by 130 steep steps – sits on the edge of the village and serves as a reminder of its mining history whilst nearby the famous Peak, Blue John, Treak Cliff and Speedwell Caverns are all worth visiting. Also close by is the David Mellor Design Museum, positioned in the village of Hathersage whilst the little picturesque town of Castleton is overlooked by the crumbling Mam Tor, or ‘Shivering Mountain’. Bradwell itself provides visitors with a range of shops, pubs and places to eat and makes an excellent base from which to enjoy this fascinating and beautiful part of the country.
