Hathersage is in the Peak District National Park in the Hope Valley, close to excellent walking at Edale. Visitors come to Hathersage to visit the churchyard and the grave of “Little John”! Jane Eyre is thought to have been inspired by Charlotte Bronte’s visit to Hathersage in 1845. For a small village it has shops, pubs and places to eat, as well as an open air swimming pool and railway station. A great centre for exploring the Peak District!
